Before You Call
The questions we answer most days on Industrial Drive.
Booking, the film itself, and what it costs. If your question is not covered here, call the shop directly and we will walk through it with you before anything is scheduled.
Booking and timing
Getting on the schedule and getting your glass back
Walk-ins are welcome, though scheduled customers get priority. Most people call ahead and agree a drop-off day. We prefer cars dropped between 8:00 and 10:00 AM so we can aim to finish the same business day.
Anywhere from 30 minutes to two days, depending on scope. A couple of front windows is quick. A full house, a fleet, or a classic that needs hand-cut patterns takes longer, and we will tell you which yours is when we quote it.
Mobile service is available on request but not guaranteed. Contact us directly to learn more about availability.
The film itself
What is actually going on your glass
Yes, tinted to Texas law using XPEL Prime XR80 ceramic film. It cuts heat without putting you outside what the law allows.
XPEL PRIME XR and PRIME XR PLUS ceramic films reject up to 98% of infrared heat. That is the part you actually feel in a Texas summer, and it is why the ceramic upgrade is the one most customers notice.
Both, depending on the vehicle. Most modern cars are cut on our Graphtec FC9000 plotter from stored patterns. Classics, odd shapes and anything the plotter has no pattern for get cut by hand.
According to Cancer Council, tinted films can reduce the amount of total UV radiation penetrating tempered glass by over 99%.
Warranty and payment
What it costs and what is behind it
Legal XPEL automotive film carries a nationwide lifetime transferable warranty covering labor and materials, and installs are CARFAX registered. Residential and commercial films from Johnson/Madico, Llumar and SunTek run from 10 years to lifetime depending on the product.
We quote before we schedule. We will ask about the vehicle, home or business, the details of the project, the location and which product you are after. Estimates and consultations are free.
