UV exposure breaks down fabric dye and wood finish slowly, which is why the rug or the couch nearest a sunny window fades first and faster than the rest of the room. Tinted film cuts a large share of the UV reaching the interior, protecting flooring and furnishings even in rooms where you might not notice much of a temperature difference.
